As you have already guessed this site is about me.  My mom says I am such a special little girl, an angel.

I was staged at the highest, worst stage there is in Cancer, by the time everyone figured out what was happening, I was staged at Stage IV, people tell me to even be alive several years later after being dx at stage 4 is a miracle in itself, this is how we all know God has some special plans for me.

In addition to being stage 4 at dx, the tumor was also N-Myc amplified, and I had cancerous cells through my entire body. I was given only a 30% chance of survival at the time of diagnosis because my tumor was very agressive and it had begun to invade many of my vital organs.  The tumor started in my abdomen.

The picture above is one week after the chemotherapy was started and after I had surgery to biopsy the tumor.  You can see how distended my abdomen is from the tumor.  My mommy thought my tummy was going to explode.  When I first went in the hospital I had about 15 IV machines hooked up to me and wires were coming from everywhere,when they put the central line in it really was a godsend.

Here I am in remission in Oct. 98.

I just wanted to tell you that no matter how bad life seems, there is always the chance for a miracle, I am one.  My mommy believed in me, believed in my strength, and she loved me enough to be with me through each phase of my disease. 

Childhood Cancer of any form does not have to win.  It can be beaten and I am living proof of that.  This year will mark my 4th year of Remission.   One more year of being cancer free and I will be considered Cured.
